Benchmark International Advises on the Sale of Jack Lilley Limited to the Lind Group Holding Company Limited
Benchmark International is pleased to announce the sale of Jack Lilley Limited to the Lind Group Holding Company Limited.
Established in 1959, Jack Lilley Ltd became one of the first Hinckley appointed Triumph dealerships in 1991. They were chosen for their experience and expertise in promoting European motorcycles, and in that 26 year relationship have played a major part in helping the Triumph brand establish itself in the UK. Initially operating from their Shepperton premises they soon outgrew themselves and moved to their current larger Ashford store. In 2013 they acquired an additional Triumph dealership in Romford.
Dave Lilley, Managing Director of Jack Lilley Triumph, said: “The Lind Group is renowned for delivering a first-class customer experience, possessing unrivalled sales and aftersales knowledge and putting customers at the heart of its business, all of which were key attractions for us. This acquisition not only ensures that this will continue, but it also puts us in a strong position for future success. We are very much looking forward to joining the Lind Family.”
The Lind Automotive Family was founded back in 1992, when Graham Dacre purchased his first BMW Car dealership in Norwich. Graham continued to develop and grow the Lind business for over a decade, becoming authorised franchised representatives for prestige brands including Audi, BMW, MINI, Honda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Subaru, MG, Rover, Volkswagen, Porsche and Land Rover. With dealerships in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Kent, the Lind name has become widely synonymous for continually delivering a second to none customer experience, providing state of the art showrooms and highly trained, professional, friendly and approachable staff. Lind feels passionate about family values, this family culture is reflected within the business and is what makes them unique and sets them apart from other motor dealers.
Speaking in regards of the acquisition Russ Dacre, MBE said: “As a growing company we are extremely excited that the two Jack Lilley Triumph dealerships are joining our family of dealerships. We are looking forward to the opportunity of working with a hugely popular manufacturer and operating in two new market areas. Following the acquisition of Black Bear Harley-Davidson (now Newmarket Harley-Davidson) in 2013, the opening of Reading Harley-Davidson in 2015, and the acquisition of SBW Motorrad (Lind Motorrad Welwyn Garden City), the acquisition of Jack Lilley Triumph aligns with our strategy to grow with the key premium motorcycle brands in the UK.”
On behalf of everyone at Benchmark International, we would like to wish both parties every success for the future.
